I didnâ€™t really know what I was doing, and itâ€™s been a series of trial and error ever since when I started my record label in 2015. Nevertheless, i am over repeatedly reminded of one thing Kurt Ballou (of Converge popularity) said in an interview with Party Smasher Inc. about making oneâ€™s own opportunities: â€œPretend do you know what youâ€™re doing unless you do.â€
As you go if you want to start a label, or do a labelâ€™s functional job for your own musical project, just start doing it and figure it out. Below are a few plain items that i am doing as a label owner which may assist both you and help you save a while if you opt to take this course too.
Iâ€™ve chose to split my yearâ€™s worth of real information into two sections: circulation and advertising. This part shall be about circulation.
